چکیده

Increasingly, climate researchers are pressured to generate products and tools from their research that support informed decision-making for increased social environmental resilience. Despite the goal of these integrate science into decision-making, little follow-up study is conducted after resilience released understand effectiveness or application. It important as limited resources across federal, state, local, private sectors invested in development efficacy at achieving intended purpose(s). This leveraged Gulf TREE, a tool 2018, assess diffusion adoption by users purposes. Strategic efforts enhance TREE via stakeholder engagement during positive evaluations prior release, suggested there would be high rate all potential end-users; however, an end-user’s intention use does not guarantee implementation. To expand body knowledge around development, diffusion, adoption, authors explored following objectives: 1) Assess if end-users adopting TREE; 2) purpose finding change tools; 3) different categories similarly. The successfully determined tool, was being adopted its There were sufficient data statistical comparisons between categories; general trends provided some indication types utilizing with frequencies Further, identified variability among how integrated existing suite tools, federal government Sea Grant stakeholders using primary resource versus academia non-profit who appeared have alternatives on which they continued rely. Finally, this usability usefulness may good indicators adoption. expands peer-reviewed assessments tool’s use. Continuing develop will allow better understanding what constitutes successful effective improve current future best utilize when attempting decision-making.
